Mrs. Megan A. Mwangi is a board certified nurse practitioner in family medicine. She received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Western Governor’s University and Post Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Briar Cliff University. Megan began her work in the health care profession at age 16, when she provided direct care to individuals with disabilities in Sigourney. She continued to work in disability services until becoming a CNA in 2010. Prior to completing her Family Nurse Practitioner, she worked in an emergency room (ER) and acute care setting as a Registered Nurse at the Keokuk County Health Center. Her ER experience helped prepare her for working with patients of every age and a variety of needs.
Megan resides in her hometown of Sigourney with her husband Humphrey, their oldest son Joseph, twin sons Colten and Caiden, and baby Brexten. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading books, and snuggling with her dogs, Cocoa, and Rascal.
She is excited to be able to provide a much-needed service to her hometown and looks forward to caring for people in the community and surrounding areas.

Mr. Brian P. Murphy entered healthcare through the US ARMY as a 91-B (EMT), matriculating to 91-C (LPN). He returned to the civilian side with a wife and newborn at the age of 21, working as an agency LPN in a variety of settings including ICU, ER, nursing homes and med-surg units in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Knowing he wanted to attend graduate school, he returned his fledgling family to his wife's hometown of Washington, Iowa in 1998.
Brian continued his education at Kirkwood Community College where he earned his Associate Degree in Nursing, subsequently attending the University of Iowa where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing. Brian has obtained certifications in Family and Emergency practice and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in both fields.
Brian enjoys spending time with his 5 daughters, attending music festivals/concerts, attending off-Broadway musical theater, running 5-20k "fun runs" and riding bikes both on and off-road.
